The bus is full of gas and it is time to get this bus moving.
What will I talk about on this site? Baseball and fantasy baseball.
Who am I? I am Steve Sawusch. I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I do not like writing, I like numbers (the longest paper I wrote in school was only 5 pages). I started playing baseball when I was a kid and played through college. I started playing fantasy baseball in 7th grade with the ESPN salary cap baseball product. These days I play many different formats like Draft and Hold Roto, Best Ball, 16 Team Head to Head AL Only and NL Only run by the In This League guys (Bogman and The Welsh), and a 15 team Roto Dynasty League run by Rich Wilson of Prospect361. Each type of league has its own strategy and keeps me sharp. I listen to a lot of baseball podcasts, but do not read a lot to gather my information. In 2019 I won a satellite league to qualify for The Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational (TGFBI) in 2020, which I will recap in a later post.
When will I post? Since my full time job is Photography/Printing/Framing and have a reselling side business, I will post when I can. My goal is at least one a week. Most of my posts will be short thoughts.
Why did I start this site? Multiple reasons. First, I felt like there was information and views that were not being discussed on many podcasts. Second, it will be a good learning experience. Maybe one of my opinions will help influence someone with influence that ends up helping change the game of baseball for the positive. Third, I want to get back into TGFBI in the future. I am competitive.
Tomorrow I plan on writing why I think Kolten Wong will sign in New York. With that intro, I will call it a night.
